1921-S Morgan Cracked Planchet

This is cool!  It looks something like a die break until you realize the EDGE of the coin is also cracked and the crack goes through the coin.

1921 Morgan Lamination Error

On this Morgan dollar, a the planchet was defective before being struck.  

1924 Lamination Error

On this peace dollar, a peace of the metal was only lightly attached to the planchet when it was struck.  The lamination is paper thin but it is still attached.  You can see under the lamination.

1922 Planchet Error

On this peace dollar, the planchet surface was lacking metal.  When it was struck with the die, there was nothing to form under the nose and above the lip.  That is not damage after the coin was struck but rather missing metal from before it was struck.
