1921D VAM-1T Die Break E Left

The VAM-1T die break can be seen as a small tail forming off the top left of the E in AMERICA. While the break itself is fairly unremarkable in terms of 1921-D die flaws, there are substantial die cracks elsewhere that make this coin desirable.

Take a look at the extensive crack that runs almost rim to rim on the obverse. Starting between the first and second left star under liberty’s face, the crack proceeds up through her jaw, behind her mount and emerges out the top of her head to finish between the R and I of PLURIBUS.
