1921D VAM-1BK Die Scratch Between LL of
DOLLAR

VAM-1BK has a pair of small die scratches on the lower reverse.
Leroy Van Allen noted they were "marginal" to list because they were small
and faint. Since there were two distinct gouges he felt they should be
catalogued and assigned a VAM number. The first die scratch goes
from the wreath to between the LL of DOLLAR. A second small gouge is
located down from the bottom of the the first L.

On the discovery coin, the E in We was weak. It is not as faint as
the missing E on a VAM-1Z or VAM-1B2, but it is partially filled.

This coin also has strong die polish and a few die gouges in the wing:
