VAM-1BD has a some die gouges and die breaks on the reverse making this a
fairly interesting die variety. features a series of small diagonal die gouges running up and
left on the lower reverse. The major die scratch runs though the
wreath at about 5 O'clock above the A in DOLLAR. Another
die scratch is present in the wreath between I&T of UNITED at about 9
O'clock. There is a very fine straight scratch running From the
denticles above the first S in states into the Eagle's wing nearby.
One VAM-1BD shows an additional die gouge at the top of the O in DOLLAR but
this is not present on all specimens. The mint mark also has some
small die gouges or die erosion in the neighboring areas.

A die crack emerges from the R of AMERICA and runs diagnonally into the
denticles where it forms into a small die break. Another small break
can also be found on the top of the O in ONE.
