1921S VAM-1B4a
Discovered by Brian Raines, September 2003
Same die gouges through IB of PLURIBUS and NU of UNUM as VAM-1B4 but
polished down, weakening the gouges.
From my personal VAM hunting, I believe VAM-1B4A is more common than
VAM-1B4.

All the VAM-1B coins share the same
characteristic die gouge between the leaf and the cap. It is visible with
the naked eye and is useful when checking a lot of coins while
cherry-picking.
