1921D VAM-1X Huge Obverse Cud

1888 Oval Os (This page still under construction)

1888 O VAM-2 Oval O

Normal Date, Oval O set high and tilted slightly to the left.

1888 O VAM-5 Oval O

One in date doubled below upper crossbar.  Also faint doubling of upper lip and nose.

(Sorry no photo... if you can loan me a coin for study or even sell outright, please email.)

1888 O VAM-6 Oval O

Last 8 in date doubled at the top.

My coin has some metal below the upper crossbar in the one.  Do all VAM-6 coins have this?

1888 O VAM-17 Oval O

Date set further left than normal.  Note in picture that the one is set between the denticles and the gap covers only 2 denticles. The O is well centered on the reverse.

1888 O VAM-18 Oval O

Doubled bottom of the first two eights in the date.  The middle 8 is the most strongly doubled.  The date is set normally with the 1 over the middle of the third denticle over.  The oval O is slightly left of center.

1888 O VAM-21 Oval O

Oval O tilted left.  (please be careful of the VAM-21 photos... I'm not 100% sure that this is a vam-21 vice a VAM-24.  More research underway, but I need both coins before I can be positive.)

1888 O VAM-24 Oval O

Strongest tilt of all the oval Os.  Set higher than VAM-21.

(Sorry no photo... if you can loan me a coin for study or even sell outright, please email.)
